Clams Italiano
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 36 clams in shell, scrubbed
Baked Tomatoes Oregano
Baked Tomatoes Oregano
Ingredients:
- 4 large ripe tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1/8 cup grated Romano cheese
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray the baking dish with cooking spray.
- Place tomato slices close together in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano. Apply tomatoes with olive oil.
- Bake for 20 minutes in the oven, or until cheese is lightly toasted.
White Chili with Ground Turkey
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 2 (4 ounce) cans canned green chile peppers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ground cayenne pepper to taste
- ground white pepper to taste
- 3 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Procedure:
- Set a large pot on medium heat then add onion, garlic and ground turkey and saute for 10 minutes, or until turkey is well browned. Then add the chili peppers, cumin, oregano, cinnamon, cayenne pepper to taste and white pepper to taste and saute for 5 more minutes.
- Then add the two cans of beans and the chicken broth to the pot. Take the third can of beans pore them in a blender. After that add to the pot along with the cheese then stir and well simmered for 10 minutes.
